I have a '49 Dodge B1B half ton pickup but I'm having a hard time figuring out which way to take it. It's in very good shape for a Michigan truck found in a barn under a tarp. I've got a '96Dodge half 4x4in great running order was leaning towards a monster off-road ride but the truck would look so Kool as a street rod.
Either way it's gonna take a while being a disabled vet I can't work long at a time I have to much pain to deal with. Anyway an advice will be very appreciated. Tanks

My suggestion would be to go street rod. The old style body with modern conveniences like A/C,  power brakes, and power steering. I went kind that route with my 54' Chevy 1 ton. I did however, convert it to a 4X4 but it is only 6" over its stock height. Your project will probably take 3 times as long as you have anticipated and twice the price as you already have figured.(if you are lucky) But, it's a great journey and worth all of the time and money. Good luck on your project and thank you for your service to our country.
